SCHEDULE

1] Seminar for Topic Selection: 16th September [TE/BE] & 22nd September [SE/BE]

2] Project abstract submission: 2nd October, 2016

3] Screening result: 9th October, 2016

4] Mentor allocation: 12th October, 2016

5] Payment of fees

6] Submission of reports:

  • 1st report [January 21, 2017]
  •  2nd report [February 1, 2016]
  •  3rd report [February 18, 2016]
  •  Final Report [February 28, 2016]

7] Pre-submission of project [28th February 2017]

 

Pragati Exhibition is tentatively set as 1st March 2017.

However, actual Exhibition Date will be announced after IRIS.

 

 

 REGISTRATIONS

2] The registration fee is ₹ 500 per team.

3] Students may register on the above link.

4] BE Students can use their current Final Year Projects

5] Total cash prizes are worth  ₹ 30,000.

TEAM MEMBERS

Each team will have a UID. This UID will be given on payment of registration fees.

1] A team can have minimum 2 and maximum 4 members.

2] Inter stream members are allowed but they must belong to the same year.

 

PROJECT TYPE

The type of the project will be examined by a jury of selected members and then be categorized into either Hardware or Software.

Parameters of judgment will be decided by the panel.

 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

An abstract of the project will have to be uploaded by the participants over the link provided on 30TH September 2016.

  1) Problem statement                                            2) Research

-What is the project about?                                          -Why have you selected this project?

-Which problem will this project solve?                      -Facts, research or solutions present

 

 3) Approach                                                              4) Solution

-How will you go about the project?                             -What is end product?

-What all procedures are required?                              -Imaginary prototype on paper?

 

          *Above format is only for reference. You can modify as per your needs

 

  • Mention References used for the project in the abstract.
  • Abstract to be submitted on 30th September, 2016.
  • Submitted abstracts will be monitored and required changes in the Project Plan will be informed as per the result. Screening will be done by a panel of 6 jury members. Jury consists of the faculty from all departments.

 

MENTOR ASSIGNMENT

1] Each team will be assigned a mentor who will guide them throughout Pragati.

2] The mentor will be a faculty member who is well versed with the concepts required for building up that particular project.

3] The percentage completion of project will be decided by the mentors regularly.

PROJECT REPORTS

1] Project reports will have to be uploaded regularly over the drive.

2] Participants have to submit 4 project reports regarding the work completed.

3] The final report should contain all the details and the complete procedure used for the project

4] Format will be provided to the participants by their mentors.

 

SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

1] All participants and non-participants can attend the seminars and the workshops conducted.

2] These seminars will guide the participants and will benefit them.

3] These seminars will be in accordance to the requirement and the need of participants.

4] The date will be announced at least 2 days prior.
